In the midst of darksome night

There's a brilliant glow of east twilight

A single ray you shine far and wide

Trying your best to give the world a brand new light

You've shared with us everything you know

Taught us about the world that's going to unfold

You told us that it'll forever be only a vision

If we ourselves don't uphold our own convictions

We've learned that true happiness comes

When material and Divine civilization are one

Both will fall if without the other

The only way is to progress together

You have taught us where true beauty lies

In an idea, a theory, one's character, even in a child's eyes

If one's outer eye is so accustom to ugliness

The inner eye can't fully serve its purpose

We've realized that there's only one reality and one truth

And that we fragment them into different groups

Man has been created noble by God

Why do we choose the path to rot?

The nobility of human being can only be

Expressed through a life of service

One should be the source of joy to others

And know that all of us is a leader

You've shown us that learning is never ending

And humility serves as a base for a true posture of learning

The more we learn the less we know

Be like a tree, the more fruits abound

The closer it bows to the ground

Faced with the disastrous effect of social disintegration

We've come to realize the importance of transformation

We should lay the foundations of a world civilization

The fairest fruit of thousands of years of social evolution

You've lead us on a discourse on social action

And gave each one of us a special mission

Mere words can't really express our thanks

To thee, a guide, a special friend!

With dull eyes and constant shiver
He stayed still powerlessly in the drain
It may have been days over
Waiting for someone to ease its pain

Green fungus covered his abdomen
His limbs are filled with open wounds
The drain is just his height’s high
Yet he wouldn’t, he couldn’t

Water is draining his strength away
His body is agitating with pain;
His eyes have no room for hope to stay
As he watched them pass by again and again

He put his head down with a sigh
The coldness of people is killing from within
He closed his eyelids tight
There’s not a single ray of light can be seen

As the clock of life is ticking weakly
He felt something wrapped around him
It’s a touch that is so heavenly
And he opens his eyes to take a glimpse

“Finally there’s someone who noticed me
Who cherish life even how small it seems
There’s no way I can thanks thee
For the strength and hope you restore in me”

Life is precious, life is a gift
Cherish all lives as you would to yours
For all have only one life to live
Be it a man, an ant, or a dog in the drain!

Feelings come
And feelings go
Maybe some are just

Or gather strength

To let it show

I found myself today
Starring at the crossroad
Not a word to say

I moved towards me
Put up a smile
So I can see

I turned myself away
With frust and fear,
This is not the day

I reached for me
Swiftly I pulled
I merged with me

A rush I felt n I knew
Life just keeps going on
N there’s no time to start anew

Turns after turns
The road ahead is long
Twisted and no return

I held my head high
Pray to God for signs
And head out without a sigh

Choices are to be made
There’s no wrong or right
Courage is all it takes

A kite longs to soar
As a bird yearns to be free
A seed willingly dispersed
As far as it can see

Peoples long to keep
Lovers within their reach
And friends closer still
Leaving no space in between

Yet when you grasps too tight
Everything begins to slip
Like a tender patch of sand
In our tiny lil hand

And sometimes all it takes
Is to open up our hands
Maybe some wanna soar
There’s a joy called letting go

Little Things


Too often we don't realize
what we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong."
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let
unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late
to see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know
how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate
everything you've got
And be thankful for the
Little things in life
that mean a lot.

ponder awhile

when the skies are grey
and rain starts to fall
when you've waited so long
but there's no rainbow at all

when you flap your wings
you can't reach the sky
instead, just mud and dirts
cover up you sight

when the road ahead
seems tough and rough
when you look around
there's no one to be found

don't panic, don't worry
don't ever give up in a hurry
just pause and close your eyes
take a rest and ponder awhile

listen to the voice inside
" Be firm and bold and strong
and no matter what you do
never loose the will to hold on"

now gently open your eyes
put up a smile and never sigh
buckle up with faith and strength
and set off once again

live life to the fullest
'cos you only get to live it once
never be afraid to fall
if not you'll never learn at all
